Meet the Designer!

Born in 1984 to a family of heirloom jewelers, Ruchi Soni is the founder and creative director of her label. She is a fashion design graduate from Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Italy. Before starting her formal training in Milan, she took a year off to travel the world and gather ideas and inspiration. During that time, Ruchi developed her uniquely global aesthetic.

Ruchi’s creative journey began when she joined her family’s jewelry business to carry forward the legacy. Starting with doodles and sketches in pencil, these later come to life, integrating gorgeous fabrics and the finest materials with brilliantly handcrafted fabrication. Color and an interest in hybridity are a few themes connecting her work in these different visual realms.

Her love for adventure has taken to her to places such as Rome, Venice, Florence, Germany, Naples etc. She explored and studied what she is most passionate about and accumulated an array of knowledge on indigenous textiles. That knowledge of technique is entrenched into her design ethos.
